IOTA ADNEX

The ADNEX threat model can be utilized by medical medical doctors to preoperatively estimate the likelihood that an ovarian (together with para-ovarian and tubal) tumor is benign, borderline, a stage I most cancers, stage II-IV most cancers, or secondary metastatic most cancers (i.e. metastasis of non-adnexal most cancers to the ovary). The model is based on data derived from ladies found to have at least one adnexal tumor that was judged to not be physiological, underwent a standardized ultrasound examination, and was later selected for surgical procedure.

The ADNEX model contains nine predictors: age, serum CA-125 (U/ml), sort of middle (oncology vs different), maximum lesion diameter, proportion of strong tissue, number of papillary projections, the presence of 10 cyst locules, acoustic shadows, and ascites. An oncology center is outlined as a tertiary referral center with a particular gynecological oncological unit.

The model was developed by clinicians and statisticians from the International Ovarian Tumour Analysis (IOTA) group, and is predicated on scientific and ultrasound information from nearly 6000 ladies recruited at 24 facilities in 10 nations (Italy, Belgium, Sweden, Czech Republic, Poland, France, UK, China, Spain, and Canada).
