The inspiration for Shelter comes from the need to combine the advanced, rich gaming mechanics of collectible card dueling video games with the easy accessible gameplay of the citadel defense genre.
Shelter is an uneven single-player card sport the place you build a deck of dueling playing cards and take them into battle towards a zombie deck that plays itself. The zombie deck is not managed by a hideously complex AI, however plays based on a simple set of rules with cube rolls to add the factor of chance. You should struggle off the waves of zombies before they smash your shelter's barricades and begin munching on your brains.
You choose your survival technique when you construct your deck. Do you pack as many weapons into your deck as you can? Do you utilize traps and reinforce your defenses? Do you stun stronger zombies and choose off the weak ones? You have the liberty to play as you want.
